Vince Vaughn in True Detective Season 2?

It seems that the motto for season 2 casting is: "expect the unexpected." In this case, here comes a new interesting lead actor that might bag a role for the show. And this is actually really legit. It seems that Vince Vaughn is in talks to take on a role on the show. Whether it is to join Taylor Kitsch and Colin Farrell as one of the lead 3 actors or if it's a role as this seasons villain, the thought of Vaughn joining the show is a very intriguing one. Though many people probably would assume (and you can't really blame them for doing so) in thinking that Vaughn is strictly a comedic actor, he has done some different genres in the past. In fact he did take on the role of Norman Bates in the ill fated "Psycho" remake, which he did a decent job, considering the fact that its a legendary character he was taking on. But the fact that Vaughn is in early talks to have a role on the show is evidence that the team is taking on the upcoming season with a difference. Considering how Harrelson and McConaughey had pretty big boosts to their respective careers thanks to the first season, this just might be the comeback that Vaughn really needs. It can also lead him away from the usual comedic roles he is pretty much cast in nowadays to probably interesting character roles in the future. Who knows, we might be looking at a really good performance from him if he is chosen. I'll give the benefit of the doubt about him possibly joining the series, considering the way the show is written and made, we just might see another performance that will be well talked about. And heck, if they really want to stir up some intrigue and change the casting types for the upcoming season, why not bring Ben Stiller or Owen Wilson. Now that would be something to see! What do you think of Vaughn possibly joining the show?
