Kevin Love Trade to Cavs Official

Kevin Love's days as a Timberwolve are probably over. As reported before, the Cavs have agreed on a trade that will see Anthony Bennett and Andrew Wiggins and a future first round pick go to Minnesota in return for Love. Also with this trade, it seems that Love will be signing a long term extension when his contract ends next season. It is reported that the Cavs offer of 5 years and 120 million was agreed upon with Love, thus giving the team a long-term future with Lebron, Kyrie, and Love trio in the picture. With the trade, Minnesota has a bright and pretty strong future. Along with Wiggins, Bennett, 2014 first round pick LaVine, Ricky Rubio, Kevin Martin, Nikola Pekovic, and Ronnie Brewer, the team looks to have a strong lineup for the upcoming season. It also gives an opportunity for Bennett to have a fresh start, after having a dismal rookie season with the Cavs. Also with the trade, this gives the opportunity for Wiggins to become a franchise cornerstone player, something that the Wolves lose with trading away Love. With this trade, it alters the balance in both conferences, with the Cavs becoming a legitimate contender in the East and the Wolves possibly contending for a couple years to come.
